The Information Management and Information System program of BIT is a national key program. Its main subjects are management, economics, computer science and technology. This major mainly focuses on training students with modern management theory, system science methods, and information technology and its development and applications.

Graduates of this major may be engaged in information system construction, information systems analysis, design, implementation, management, various management and application software development work, and information services at national levels, in businesses, financial institutions, research institutes and other departments.
