The Joint Programme approved by the Ministry of Education of China since 1998 allows applicants to study at Beijing Institute of Technology for three years and grants the qualified candidates the Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering by University of Central Lancashire, the United Kingdom.
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is the international, multi-campus University tracing its roots back to 1828 and leading the way in modern learning today. Today UCLan is one of the UK’s largest universities with a staff and student community approaching 38,000.
I. Qualification
1. High school graduate or above who is qualified to apply for university; non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passport and in good health; observe Chinese laws and regulations of Beijing Institute of Technology.
2. Aged between 18 and 25; Applicants under 18 should provide certificate of guardian who has Beijing residency.
3. Applicants must comply with the regulations (JW〔2020〕No. 12) issued by Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China.
4. For international applicants from non-mainland China countries/regions, admission criteria will refer to the unified entry requirements for UK based international students.
·Successful completion of a Senior High School including grades of graduation in Physics and Mathematics at no lower than 75% or evidence proving equivalent conditions to above mentioned. (For applicants not yet hold evidence proving their high school level proficiencies in physics and mathematics, a Placement Test conducted by BIT Office of International Students will be available twice a year for them to take at no lower than 75% on a 100 percent scale.)
·English Language: IELTS 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5 (International students from English-speaking countries can directly exempt from English language requirements with passports or A LEVEL/IB related grades).- Alternative entry English requirements for International students: https://www.uclan.ac.uk/international-students/english-requirements
·Chinese Language: a minimum score of 180 in HSK Test (Level 5).
·UCLan Test of English Language Level (TELL) are available to those who meet above entry requirements and have passed the preliminary qualification review but do not yet have a valid English language test result for UCLan's certification. III. Duration & Fees
Duration: 3 years
Tuition:
Year 1 & Year 2: CNY 70,000/year
Year 3: Tuition fee for the third year is charged according to the international student tuition fee standards set by UCLan for that academic year. (The international student tuition fee for the academic year 2023-2024 has been announced at £14900 per student per year.)
