当今世界面临的诸多难题,仅凭一国之力难以应对,唯有汇聚全球智慧,协同合作方能破解。例如基础设施建设,“一带一路”倡议虽由中国提出,却在世界多个国家推进了促进陆海联通的合作项目,正逐步成为解决全球问题的国际化方案。
Many of the challenges facing the planet today can only be resolved by combining solutions from around the world. Take infrastructure, for example. The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) may be the brainchild of the Chinese government, but it is resulting in collaborative projects to enhance land and maritime trade in many countries. It is a global solution to a global problem.
北京理工大学(BIT)致力于培养具备全球视野、能胜任国际合作的未来人才,为“一带一路”等大型项目的可持续发展注入新动力。去年,北理工成功举办了第五届“一带一路” 国家人才培养基地研修项目,邀请来自马来西亚、印度尼西亚、蒙古、泰国和南非的代表参与,围绕教育合作如何促进区域发展与文化融合展开深入交流。
Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) aims to shape future-ready international talent to support the progress of large-scale initiatives like the BRI. Last year, the university held its fifth Belt and Road Talent Cultivation Base Training Programme, inviting delegates from Malaysia, Indonesia, Mongolia, Thailand and South Africa. The programme focused on the importance of educational cooperation as a bridge to promote regional development and cultural integration.
像“一带一路”这样的国际合作倡议本身就是长期性工程,因此北理工始终保持持续投入。2023年的人才培训项目聚焦教育协作与跨境交流,而早在2019年,学校就举办科技夏令营,为“一带一路”沿线国家学生提供关于汽车研发等前沿技术的实践机会。
As well as requiring international collaboration, initiatives like the BRI are also long-term projects. This is why BIT has been supporting them for many years. In 2023, BIT’s Belt and Road Talent Cultivation Base Training Programme focused on educational cooperation and cross-border exchange, while the 2019 Science and Tech Camp looked at vehicle research and development for Belt and Road country students.
人工智能(AI)也是北理工教育创新中的重点领域。在2019年科技夏令营中,AI技术就已被纳入教学实践。2024年,北理工又举办了“人工智能时代青少年的关键素养”为主题的国际教育论坛,吸引60余位来自亚洲和非洲的教育者参与。论坛围绕AI如何影响教育发展和青少年能力提升展开研讨,并强调应通过全球协作,共同应对技术变革带来的机遇与挑战。
AI also played an important role in the 2019 Science and Tech Camp and is certain to influence talent development and education in the years to come. As a case in point, BIT’s 2024 International Education Forum focused on youth literacy in the age of AI. More than 60 educators from Asia and Africa participated in the forum, which took a detailed look at AI’s role in education and youth literacy. The challenges and opportunities that AI presents for education were discussed during the event, which stressed the importance of mutual learning and collective improvement when engaging with emerging technologies.
北理工不断为全球学生搭建实践平台。2019年,200名国际学生代表学校参加第23届中国国际软件博览会,深入了解人脸识别与AI等前沿技术如何深刻影响政府、产业与教育领域。这些经历不仅拓展了学生视野,也增强了其参与全球事务的实际能力。
As further evidence of BIT’s commitment to future-proofing global talent development, 200 of the university’s international students represented the institution at the 23rd China International Software Expo in 2019. From facial recognition software to AI, the event allowed BIT students to engage with cutting-edge technological developments influencing government, industry and education.
无论未来科技如何发展,教育的核心始终应是“以人为本”。这一理念也体现在北理工面向国际小学生举办的“Study in BIT”活动中,活动融合课程学分、创新体验与文化沉浸,致力于从小培养全球化素养。
However technology evolves in the future, the human element should remain at the heart of education. This was clear during the 2019 Study in BIT event for international primary school students, which shone a spotlight on integrated academic credit, innovation and cultural immersion.
高等教育在推动全球合作与人才发展中扮演着关键角色。无论是关注基础设施的“一带一路”,还是强调数字转型的AI时代,大学都应引导学生掌握新兴技术的同时,重视人文素养的培养,如团队协作、领导力和同理心。北京理工大学正通过与政府、产业与学术界的深度合作,创造多元实践机会,使学生在接触尖端技术的同时,也能与来自世界各地的优秀人才交流互鉴,真正为全球未来做好准备。
Higher education is critical to ensuring individuals have the necessary skills to take part in the huge, collaborative projects that will transform our world, whether they focus on infrastructure, like the BRI, or digital solutions, like AI. Whatever form the future of work takes and whichever skills are in the highest demand, universities can shape future-ready international talent by focusing on emerging technologies and human skills, such as collaboration, leadership and empathy. At BIT, preparing students for a global future means creating opportunities for them to engage with government, industry and academia from all over the world so they gain first-hand experience with emerging technologies like AI, but also so they can meet and share ideas with like-minded creative individuals.
