Scholarships

2026 International Students Graduate Programs


I. Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

1. Be non-Chinese citizens and in good health both mentally and physically, and will observe the Chinese laws and the regulations, and the rules and regulations of Beijing Institute of Technology;

2. Be an academically excellent holder of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for a master’s program;

3. Be an academically excellent holder of a master’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 40 when applying for a Ph.D. program;

4. For Chinese-taught programs, an HSK certificate (minimum level 5 with a score of 180 or above) is required; for English-taught programs, a minimum score of 85 in TOEFL, an overall band of 6.0 in IELTS, or a score of 110 in the Duolingo English Test is required. Alternatively, other language certificates recognized by BIT may be provided (native English speakers are exempt);

5. Have at least 1-year related working or internship experience for MBA program.

October 15th, 2025 to February 15th, 2026 (For scholarship applicants, first round)

February 16, 2026 to April 15th, 2026 (For scholarship applicants, second round)

October 15th, 2025 to June 15th, 2026 (For self-funded applicants)

*1. The Photocopy of Passport (photo page) and China visa page (if have)

*2. The certified/notarized copy of highest degree’s diploma/certificate of schooling (in Chinese or English)

*3. The certified/notarized copy of highest academic transcript (undergraduate level and above, if any, in Chinese or English)

*4. Curriculum Vitae

*5. Personal Statement & Study Plan

*6. Two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors

*7. Recommendation Form for International Student by BIT Supervisors

*8. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (with the blood test report)

*9. Proof of Language Proficiency

*10. Non-Criminal Record

11. Financial Guarantee Letter

12. Scholarship Application Form

13. Other supporting documents


IV. Scholarships

A. Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC)

1. University Program (Type B)

   Including High Level Graduate Program, Silk Road Program, etc.

(1) Full Scholarship Coverage

Tuition fees; Free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy; Stipend: Master’s students: CNY 3,000/month, Ph.D. students: CNY 3,500/month; Comprehensive medical insurance: CNY 800/person/year

(2) Application Procedure

(3) Application Period

October 15th, 2025 to February 15th, 2026 (For CSC applicants, first round)  

February 16th, 2026 to April 15th, 2026 (For CSC applicants, second round)  

 

2. Bilateral Program (Type A)

The program accords with the cooperation and exchange agreements or consensus reached by the Chinese government and the governments and institutions of other nations. An applicant shall file an application with the dispatching department of their home countries.

 

B. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

Only the Master's degree program in International Chinese Language Education is supported.

Master’s: CNY 32,000/year (Chinese-taught); CNY 36,000/year (English-taught); MBA: CNY 49,000/year;

Ph.D.: CNY 44,400/year

Beijing Zhongguancun campus:

CNY 1,350/month (2 people shared room)

CNY 1,200/month (3 people shared room)

CNY 900/month (4 people shared room)

Beijing Liangxiang campus:

CNY 900/month (2 people shared room)

CNY 700/month (3 people shared room)

CNY 500/month (4 people shared room)

Zhuhai campus:

CNY 900/month (2 people shared room)

Insurance Fee: CNY 800-1800/person/year
