Chinese Government Scholarship: Chinese University Program

The Chinese Government Scholarship: Chinese University Program (Type B) is a full scholarship established by the Ministry of Education to support Chinese universities to attract outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. BIT is one of the prestigious universities designated to undertake this program to recruit postgraduate students for Master and Ph.D. Programs.

1. Who pays for your education?

The Chinese Government

2. What does the FULL scholarship cover?

- Tuition fees;

- Free university dorm or accommodation subsidy;

- Stipend: Master's students: CNY 3,000 per month

                 Doctoral students: CNY 3,500 per month

- Comprehensive Medical Insurance: CNY 800/person/year


3. Who can apply?

To be eligible, an applicant must:
1. be a citizen of a country other than the PRC and in good health both mentally and physically;
2. be an academically excellent holder of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for a master’s program;
3. be an academically excellent holder of a master’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 40 when applying for a Ph.D.program;
4. meet the admission requirements of the applied degree program.


4. Application Period

October 15, 2022 to April 15, 2023 (rolling admission)


5. Application Procedure

Step 1: register at http://www.campuschina.org and choose program Type B. The agent No. of BIT is 10007.

Step 2: register at http://isc.bit.edu.cn/.
